Can’t the team work on restaking- where, after the token is distributed on Thursday, anybody who initiates auto-staking doesn’t need to go; it just automatically stakes

Yes, this makes sense from a user experience perspective. If auto-staking is enabled before distribution, once the WalletConnect tokens are distributed on Thursday, the staking process could trigger automatically without requiring users to return and manually stake.
